It's sunny almost everyday with an occasional shower (75-85 degrees). The Ocean Temperature is about 70 degrees. Some days it's
warmer, and some days it's cooler. Our cottage is right on the most wonderful beach about 18 miles out of town. There
is little or no waves most of the day. You can even drag your lawn chair out into the water and read a book for a few hours.
For fisherman, the bonefish are too numerous to try counting. We have two bonefishing captains living here on the beach.
Bonefish are just one of the many species that live in these waters. Dolphins, Tuna,
Mackerel, and Wahoo are just the beginning.
Not up for fishing? Snorkeling the coral reefs is an adventure in itself, dive for lobster and conch. Many Wonderful
beaches for shelling. Don't go home without at least one conch!
Our houses
come well equipped with all the major appliances. This includes AC, Cable TV, internet, refrigerator, etc.

There are great beaches to swim at as well as soak up the sun on. At low tide sand dollars can be found as well as conch in the shallow water.
Walk the 6 miles of beach and find lots of sea shells and other ocean artifacts. In town there are seafood restaurants serving conch
burger, conch salad, grouper salad and Bahamian lobster. Mangoes, Boat Harbor, Nippers, and Snappers to name a few native seafood restaurants.
Day tripping to barrier islands takes less than a half hour. These islands are usually one to three miles long and are
accessed by golf carts. There are plenty of beaches to lay out and sun bathe, and hotels with great lunches.
Nippers bar & grill on the beach at Guava Cay & Hopetown Lodge are a must.
However, I like to spend my time just walking the beaches, picking up shells, spending time in a beach chair with a good book
in about a foot of water, drinking ice cold coconut milk, or enjoying the local beer (Klik). Oh yes, Bahamian rum is
the preferred drink of the day. There are lots of other things
to do here. Dine out, golf, tennis, big game sport fishing for those on the go and the bucks to spend.
We bought our cottage as a safe haven and a place to get away for some peace and quiet in the outback. There are no tourists or loud noises
on our beach. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. We really love coming here year after year to relax and unwind.
We can accommodate a single person or a couple at $1,500 in one of our We know
you will enjoy it too!
